The "It bag" culture!

Updated: Mar 4, 2022

The term “it bag” was invented by luxury brands, who wanted their designs to sell out to a large crowd of women and create the need for desire and Fomo (fear of missing out).

In other words, marketers have succeeded over the last 2 decades to create the demand each season for expensive designers handbags that are “a must have “.

I can still remember in my mother’s era there was no such term as “it bags”.

So ladies, be aware of, where you spend your money.

If you enjoy a handbag and you have the budget for it, by all means buy it.

Just be aware of the influencers you follow and always value your opinion, your life circumstances and your style goals first and then buy the “It bag” that may be forgotten in the next season.

3 things you must keep in mind when you want to invest in a bag are the following:

1) You must be able to carry it with, at least 5 outfits of your wardrobe at the season you purchase it

2) You must own at least 3 pair of shoes that look great with it

3) If its over 2k$ you must consider its resale value.
